“TEETHING PROBLEMS” WITH NEWCASTLE BUS OPERATOR

Newcastle bus drivers are calling on the Transport Minister to intervene, in a bid to sort out problems with the city’s new private operator.
There are claims drivers are still being paid incorrectly, and that services are simply not turning up.

  1. The sooner governments realise that public transport is a essentual service and cannot be operated on a low bid tender, the quicker Australia will get a safe and reliable public transport network.

  2. Transit Systems had teething problems when they were awarded a bus contract in Sydney more than a year ago and the Northern Beaches B-Line services are going to have problems as well when it starts operating next month.
