INCREASED ACTION FOR YOUNG CRICKETERS
Junior cricket is undergoing a major makeover in the north west this summer.
Those aged from nine to 11 will play seven-a-side, on smaller fields.
It’s designed to increase involvement in the game, and to see more runs being scored.
“This is about fast, fun, highly active and improve skills because we’re not trying to bowl a length that is beyond our capacity. We’re not trying to hit a ball out over the six line.”
The new season gets underway next Saturday.
