11 COUNCILLORS DECIDED FOR ARMIDALE

The final counts have been tallied and the 11 councillors to make up the first Armidale Regional Council have now been finalised.

Former administrator Ian Tiley, Country Labor candidate Debra O’Brien and former Deputy Mayor of Guyra Simon Murray were elected on first count.

As were Margaret O’Connor and Jon Galletley.

They will be joined by the Greens, Dorothy Robinson, while Libby Martin and Bradley Widder will also take seats on the new council.

Diane Gray will sit alongside former Armidale Dumaresq councillor Andrew Murat.

Peter Bailey rounds out the 11th seat.

The new Council will vote for Mayor and Deputy on September 27.
