SOUTH TAMWORTH MEDICAL PROPOSAL SOON UP FOR PUBLIC CONSULT

Tamworth residents will soon be able to have their say on a proposed $5-million medical centre for South Tamworth.

Tamworth Regional Council has moved to seek public consultation, after a concept was put forward by Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service.

“It will bring a whole new level of health services to South Tamworth, there was quite a lot of interest in the debate,” Mayor Col Murray, Tamworth Regional Council.

Council will revisit the proposal once it has gained a better understanding of the size and required resources.
