29-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED STABBING

A man has been stabbed in the neck during an fight on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

Police say the incident took place at a licensed premises on Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise, at around 3.30pm.

It’s alleged a 24-year-old man produced a knife and stabbed the 29-year-old in the neck during the altercation which involved a number of people.

The man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the 24-year-old was arrested at the scene.
