UNE DIVIDED OVER FACULTY RESTRUCTURE

The University of New England is divided over a restructure that will see a new School of Business and Law sit in a larger faculty.

Under the change, Law will sit alongside agriculture, natural resources management and science and technology.

The Deputy Head of Law says the change will deeply damage the school and is calling for a reversal..

While the Vice-Chancellor defended the change saying it was thoroughly communicated with staff, feedback was received, and would mainly impact administrative functions.

The restructure will see the 10 stand-alone schools move into three broad faculties.
