ONE DEAD TWO INJURED DURING GRAFTON CRASH

A man has died while two teenagers have been left injured following a crash in Grafton early this morning.

Just before 1am, police were called to Back Lane at Junction Hill to find a Holden Astra had left the road and struck a drain.

A 24-year-old man who had been travelling in the back of the car died at the scene.

Two 17-year-old girls, who were travelling as passengers have been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, escaped injury but was taken hospital, he’s been released and is currently assisting police with inquiries.

The crash continues to be investigated while a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
