Construction work will ramp up in Newcastle’s east end tonight.
Night work will occur along Watt Street until Wednesday, in a move to fast-track the Supercar circuit and other upgrades.
Around town, drivers went down a gear today, with road closures around Fort Scratchley causing traffic snarls.
You also couldn’t escape it in the west end, with Stewart Avenue closed as part of Newcastle’s light rail project.
