POLICE PURSUIT | 45 YEAR OLD MAN REFUSED BAIL

A 45-year-old Queensland man has faced court today, following a high speed pursuit in Tamworth yesterday.

Police allege he was involved in an armed robbery at Armidale around 3pm yesterday, before driving towards Tamworth.

Officers pursued the man for sometime, before he crashed the Toyota Camry into the yard of a house on Marius Street.

It’s also alleged he assaulted a woman on a neighbouring property, after fleeing the vehicle on foot.

The man has been refused bail and will reappear in court on Monday.
