CONTAMINATION CONCERNS FOR SALT ASH RESIDENT

A Salt Ash resident, living within the Williamtown red zone, claims the Department of Defence refuses to test his property for contamination because he doesn’t have a water bore.

It follows the appearance of this foam on his lawn, after a water pipe leaked.

“They’re saying we’re not contaminated but we know the ground water surrounding us, the three four properties around us have tested positive for it,” Ryan Baker said.

Defence was contacted for comment, but was unable to provide a response.
