POLICE RAID HOMES LINKED TO OUTLAW MOTORCYCLE GANGS

Police have seized cash, a rifle scope and a small amount of drugs, following a raid on the home of an associate of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang in northern NSW.

Strike Force Walenore was formed to target bikie gangs, following recent acts of violence which are believed to be related to tensions between rival clubs.

This week police searched for firearms, firearm parts and ammunition at two properties.

They seized a rifle scope, a laser pointer, more than $6000 cash and cannabis from one at Commissioners Creek on Monday.

A search was also conducted at the home of a member of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang at Terranora yesterday, where a 39-year-old man was issued a warning for consorting.

Police say they’re determined to disrupt the activities of outlaw motorcycle gang members and their associates.

“These operations are a direct consequence of the disregard that OMCG members have had for the community and we will continue to endeavour to bring their behaviour in line with community expectations,” said Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen.
