TOUGH LESSON FOR JETS YOUTH

A tough lesson for the Jets Youth team, beaten three-nil by Mexican super club Chivas in their match at the Weifang Cup in China.
The Jets held their more fancied opponents scoreless until the 41st minute… then the tide turned.
“Tonight they’ll go away and go we’ve got a long way to go before we’re at that level and that’s no disrespect to our boys at all. They’ve come here to a big tournament handles themselves well and did that today professionally, everything that was asked of them just got beaten on the day by a better team”
Despite the scoreline, Jets keeper Noah James put in a solid performance, making two key saves.
“They are some of the best players I’ve played against and some of the best players you’ll see in our age group so very tough for us but the boys put in a great effort today”
The Jets face Belgian giants Club Brugge, tomorrow.
