PUBLIC ASSISTANCE SOUGHT FOLLOWING OURIMBAH MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Police are appealing for information into a crash between a motorcycle and a car on the Central Coast.

Just before 6:30pm yesterday, the motorcyclist was riding along the M1 near Ourimbah, when police say he was hit by a silver Holden Commodore bearing red P-plates.

The driver of the Commodore failed to stop and left the scene.

The 38-year-old male rider was treated at the scene by paramedics and was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital for surgery.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information regarding the silver Holden Commodore and its driver.
