The University of New England women’s rugby seven’s squad now has two youth Commonwealth Games gold medalists among the ranks.
Brydie Parker and Hannah Southwell were part of the gold medal winning team that beat Canada by 26-points in the rugby sevens grand final in the Bahamas.
The pair will travel back to Australia, where they’ll continue training with the UNE Lion’s squad which is preparing for the National University Sevens Series in Tasmania next month.
