The ladder-leading Central Coast has suffered a blow in the lead-up to the Swim League Regional Series finals.
Missing a handful of star recruits, the Heat was outclassed by Lake Macquarie 48 to 27, in a weekend clash that featured several dead heats.
Also over the weekend, the Hunter Valley Vipers edged out the Port Stephens Pirates.
