ONE KILLED WHEN CAR HITS TREE NEAR PORT MACQUARIE

A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a man this morning on the Mid North Coast.

Emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle leaving the road and crashing into a tree on the Pacific Highway, about 20km south of the Port Macquarie turnoff, around 8:30am.

The passenger in the vehicle, a man believed to be in his 30’s, died at the scene.

The female driver, believed to be in her 30’s, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

She will undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
