RARE DELIGHT FOR BIRDWATCHERS
A sighting of at least 20 Regent Honeyeaters near Cessnock has the attention of the Hunter birdwatching community.
The critically endangered species has a global population of less than 400, and is rarely found in groups larger than 10.
Bird experts believe the flock’s local growth is due to the Spotted Gum Forests in the region.
