POLICE SEEKING WITNESSES FOLLOWING BYRON BAY CYCLIST DEATH

Police have released an image of the crash site where a cyclist died in Northern New South Wales earlier this week.

A 70-year-old man died on Monday, when he came off his bike and crashed heavily on Bangalow Road, in Byron Bay.

The crash happened about 650m from the intersection with Coopers Shoot Road.

Police believe prior to the crash, a second bicycle rider was seen in the area, as well as a white Toyota Landcruiser.

The other rider, the occupants of the white Landcruiser, and any other witnesses are being urged to come forward.
