LATEST: A man has been charged with the 2014 murder of Lake Macquarie mother-of-two Carly McBride.
The remains of the 31-year-old were discovered in bushland on the outskirts of Scone in August last year.
Around 8am today, detectives arrested a 39-year-old man at a home at San Remo.
He has since been formally charged with murder.
The accused was also charged with unrelated charges pertaining to the destruction by fire of a rental car, and weapons offences.
He will appear before Wyong Local Court this afternoon.
