CANADA BEATS USA IN ICE HOCKEY CLASSIC CLASH IN NEWCASTLE

Canada has beaten the US in the first game of the Ice Hockey Classic Tour of Australia, played in front of a sell-out crowd at the home of the Newcastle North Stars last night.
The game lacked the aggression usually associated with clashes between the two nations, but the skill was world class.
A late fightback by the Americans wasn’t enough, as Canada won seven goals to five.
The tour moves to Sydney this Saturday.
