An elderly couple have been left shaken, after they were confronted by armed robbers in their South Tamworth home overnight.
Police were called to a home in Waree Drive at around 8 o’clock.
It’s believed two teenagers entered the house through a sliding door, before taking two knives from a kitchen drawer.
The pair then allegedly threatened the elderly couple, demanding money, before fleeing the scene.
The two males are described as having dark complexions, aged between 13 and 14 years old.
One was wearing a red hooded jumper – the other a khaki jumper.
