The University of New England’s National Women’s Rugby sevens side has been allocated its two Australian-contracted players.
Olympic gold medallist Alicia Quirk and former Newcastle Jets goalkeeper Hannah Southwell will represent the Lions.
Both are from regional New South Wales.
A selection process for the final squad is ongoing, with Armidale hosting a training day today, before heading into matches tomorrow.
