SYDNEY POLICE BOAT TO SET SAIL FROM TAREE

The newest recruit to the New South Wales police force received its baptism in the Manning River today.

The Maritime Police Boat is the 11th to be made by local boat manufacturing company Steber.

“This is a very prestigious day for the staff and the people of Taree,” said Alan Steber, General Manager of Steber Craft.

The eleven metre vessel is built to with stand the toughest of sea conditions and can travel up to 30-knotts.
