WOODY POWERS TO AUSTRALIAN TITLE

The Central Coast had two swimmers in last night’s 17 to 18 years 200 backstroke final at the Australian Age Championships in Brisbane.

Brad Woodward in lane four, and Woy Woy rising star Myles Bailey.

At the 100, the Mingara champion led by almost a second, but was seriously challenged at the final turn.

Woodward eventually powered home to win gold in two-minutes and one second, with Bailey, the fastest 17 year-old in the field in sixth place.
