TEAMS NEED TO STEP UP

If the Group 2 rugby league rounds so far are anything to go by, the Axemen are going to be hurting after their trip to Rebels territory on the weekend.

The South Grafton players will be out to prove themselves after being thrashed by their cross-river rivals in round three.

Meanwhile Group 2 president Warren Gilkinson says the Magpies will have to be at the ready, to have any chance of beating an in-form Grafton, led by Danny Wicks.

“Bellingen will have to be on their guard, not to get a fair few points put on them up there, cause Grafton Ghosts are a strong side.”

The Macksville men, who were pulverised by the Comets in their last clash, will be keen to down Woopi at home.
