INTRUDERS ON THE RUN AFTER VIOLENT TWEED HEADS HOME INVASION

Two men in their 50’s have been violently assaulted during a home invasion on the far north coast.

Around 9:30pm yesterday, three men forced entry into a home on Russell Way in Tweed Heads South, armed with bats and cutting implements.

Two men, aged 52 and a 51, were at the property at the time – both were beaten with the bats

The 51-year-old was stabbed multiple times.

The intruders then fled the scene.

Both injured men were taken to hospital, where they remain in a stable condition.
