GROMS BUST OUT BIG MOVES

North Coast surfer, Dakoda Walters has scored a perfect 10 in the Oz Grom Cup at Park Beach today.

He is among a number of surfers who reeled in high points in Day Four of the comp.

Contest director, Lee Winkler says Coffs Harbour’s Taj Watson is a step closer to taking out back-to-back championships.

“Taj has surfed really good this morning, got about a high nine and a high eight in his heat. Ethan Stock’s advanced, there’s a couple of others, Riley Smith, Carly Shanahan, Will Martin is in the semis.”

The swell has been consistent for competitors, with shallow water allowing for some fast waves throughout the heats.

The final day wraps up tomorrow.
