The State Government has launched an inquiry into the fundraising activities of the Australian Vaccination Skeptics Network.
Fair Trading is investigating whether the Bangalow-based group has breached the charitable fundraising act.
Under the act, individuals or groups seeking charitable donations, may require approval to do so.
The Network’s been ordered to produce records documenting how it collects money.
Breaching the act may constitute a criminal offence.
