KRIS LEES LOOKS TO DEFEND TWO TITLES IN SYDNEY

With the all-conquering Winx in the field, Kris Lees doesn’t expect to win Saturday’s $4-million Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick, but he’s still nominated two runners for the Group One race that he claimed last year with Lucia Valentina.
Sense Of Occasion will back up from its third place in the Doncaster Mile, while Hong Kong-based jockey Sam Clipperton will ride French import, Singing.
Lees will also try to defend his Provincial Championships title, with Clevedon Bay and Princess Posh guaranteed starts in the $400,000 event… while Knit ‘N’ Purl is the first emergency.
