A teenager has been charged following a violent assault in South Tamworth yesterday.
A 49-year-old man sustained serious head injuries when he was allegedly attacked leaving his work at a bakery on Robert Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He remains in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital.
A 23-year-old man was arrested but later released, while a 17-year-old boy was charged with assault.
He was refused bail and will front Tamworth Children’s Court tomorrow.
