ONE MOTORCYCLIST KILLED, ANOTHER INJURED, ON SAME STRETCH OF ROAD

A motorcycle rider has been killed, and another airlifted to hospital, in separate crashes on the same stretch of road on the Mid North Coast.

Just before midday yesterday, police were called to the Oxley Highway at Mount Seaview, 80km west of Port Macquarie, following reports of a motor cycle crash.

A 35-year-old male rider suffered serious leg injuries and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

Meanwhile at around 2pm, a second motorcycle crash was reported on the same stretch of road.

A 51-year-old male rider died at the scene.

Police would like to speak to the driver of a small white car, who may have witnessed the second crash.
