Another Far North Coast driver has had a lucky escape, after ignoring warnings not to drive through floodwaters.
The woman was attempting to drive her four-wheel-drive across a flooded causeway on Lindendale Road at Wollongbar around 10 o’clock this morning, when it became stuck.
She managed to free herself and wade through the murky water to safety before her vehicle was swept away.
Police and the SES are again reminding drivers, not to drive through floodwater.
