TEENAGE GIRL CHARGED AFTER OUT-OF-CONTROL PARTY

A teenage girl has been charged, following an out-of-control party at Lake Macquarie last week.

Police were called to Ida Street at Charlestown at around 9pm last Friday, to find 300 people in the area.

Extra police resources were required to disperse the crowd.

11 people were arrested and two teenage girls were hospitalised with suspected drug overdoses.

A 14-year-old girl spoke with police yesterday, before being charged with supplying a prohibited drug and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.

She’s been granted conditional bail and will face a children’s court on March 13.
