Taree Greyhound Racing Club says the panel’s recommendations are fair.
However, Treasurer Vince Cassar says the report can’t repair the damage that’s already been done to the industry.
“It’s hurt a lot of people. I’ll be honest I’ve lost a lot of interest in the industry. I’m going to give it a break. I’m going to race the dogs I have at the moment and then have a holiday. I’ll come back because it’s in your blood but that’s how hard it’s been on a lot of people,” he says.
