MAGIC WIN FOR BROADMEADOW AGAINST CHINESE SUPER LEAGUE SIDE

NPL side Broadmeadow Magic has scored an historic win over Chinese Super League side, Liaoning Whowin, in a pre-season friendly.
With a wage bill of around $60-million, and the likes of Robbie Kruse and James Holland on the roster, the Chinese outfit was expected to dominate.
But the Magic earned an early penalty thanks to Scott Pettit.
Peter Haynes stepped up to make it one-nil.
Liaoning didn’t wait long to hit back, tying things up after just 10 minutes.
Broadmeadow’s new Japanese import went close to restoring the advantage from a free kick.
But it was Pettit who caught the visitors napping, to make it 2-1.
Liaoning will face Edgeworth tomorrow night.
