Origin Energy has been slapped with a $15,000 fine, after dust was blown from Lake Macquarie’s Eraring Power Station.
The EPA carried out an inspection in September last year following reports from members of the public that large quantities of dust were escaping from an ash dam at the power station.
Origin Energy says it’s now reviewing its dust monitoring systems to prevent another incident.
