Meanwhile, the Central Coast could soon have a W-League team, with the Mariners revealing their plans to put in a bid for a new women’s side.
The club are hoping to have the team up and running by next season, pending approval from the F-F-A.
Part of the proposal is to improve the facilities at Central Coast Stadium.
It’s been almost seven years since the Central Coast had a top level women’s team.
