GOVERNMENT TO FAST-TRACK X.P.T FLEET REPLACEMENT

The state’s aging regional rail fleet will be replaced two years early.

Around $50-million will be spent accelerating the purchase of new X-P-T trains, to service the Trainlink network.

Procurement will now commence early next year.

The trains service regional towns throughout the state, including Casino, Grafton and Coffs Harbour.
