FIVE YEAR OLD SURVIVES HORROR UPPER HUNTER CRASH

A five-year-old boy has survived a crash that killed his father, grandfather and a third man when the car they were travelling in rolled down an embankment on remote private property in Gundy, in the NSW Hunter Valley region.

Emergency services were called about 5pm, but it is believed the crash likely occurred some hours earlier, possibly that morning.

NBN News understands the third man was a local real estate agent, who may have been with them to inspect a property east of Scone.

Concerns were raised when they failed to return yesterday afternoon.

The car was found by a neighbour.

The three men were thrown from the car, and were found dead at the scene.

The five-year-old boy was found nearby with a broken arm.

He was airlifted to Scone Hospital before being taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash, and will resume examination of the scene today.
