POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES TO COME FORWARD
Police are appealing for public help following a robbery in Bateau Bay early yesterday morning.
Reports suggest two men used hammers to gain entry into the shopping centre.
Once inside, it’s alleged they smashed the display cabinet at Prouds the Jewellers and stole up to 40 watches.
CCTV footage released today show a pair dressed in dark clothing running from the scene.
“Detectives are making further inquiries so what we’re appealing for now if any members of the public recognise any of these persons or the clothing they are wearing if they could contact Wyong police or crime stoppers that would be greatly appreciated,” Tim Windmill from Tuggerah Lakes Police said.
Blood found at the scene is also being investigated.
