A prisoner is still on the run after escaping from a minimum security facility last week.
39-year-old Steven Barber was reported missing last Tuesday, after officers noticed the window of his room at the Glen Innes Correction Centre had been smashed.
Yesterday, police received unconfirmed reports a man fitting Barber’s description had been sighted 20-kilometres north of the town, riding a khaki all terrain vehicle and wearing camouflage clothing.
Barber is described as being of Caucasian appearance and has tattoos of boxing gloves on his back – and a tattoo of a snake on his left forearm.
