JETS SACK ASSISTANT COACH LUCIANO TRANI

Just a day after sacking head coach Scott Miller, the Newcastle Jets have parted company, with his assistant, Luciano Trani.
It’s understood the coaches had a tense working relationship, with Trani sent home early from the team’s trip to China.
Newcastle youth team coach, Clayton Zane, will oversee training until further notice.
The club says the person appointed as head coach will have the chance to appoint their own assistant.
As for Miller, Jets fans have started a petition to have the 34-year-old reinstated.
More than 650 people have added their names to the list.
