TRUCK DRIVER CHARGED OVER ROAD FATALITY AT BERESFIELD IN MAY
A 55-year-old man will appear in court to answer charges resulting from a fatal crash north of Newcastle in May.
Shortly before 9am on the 10th of May, four vehicles were involved in a collision on the New England Highway at Beresfield.
The 30-year-old male driver of a Hilux utility died at the scene.
The driver of a Toyota Rav4, a 55-year-old woman was taken to hospital with suspected back injuries, while the driver of a Mitsubishi rigid truck, a 55-year-old man, and the driver of a Holden Captiva, a 49-year-old woman, were uninjured.
Police investigations have subsequently led to a 55-year-old man being issued a court notice for dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
He will appear in court on 3 November.
