More than 600 riders from across the state tried their luck, Sydney’s Jake Holmes looked like racing away with his semi-final, until a crash on the final turn.

The Manning Valley’s Sonny Easter was one of the standouts in the 11 boys division.

While this little guy may not have won his race in the sprocket class, but he still became a crowd favourite.

With a little help from officials, he proved that just finishing the race is an achievement.
