PAIR THREATENED AND ROBBED BY A GANG ON TH GOLD COAST

Two men have been set upon and robbed by a gang on the Gold Coast last night.

Shortly before 10pm, the men aged 20 and 21 were walking along Pitcairn Way at Pacific Pines with two teenage girls, when they were approached by a group of approximately 8 men.

The group threatened the 21-year-old with a broken bottle, and demanded he hand over his mobile phone.

The victim threw his phone to the ground before being punched and kicked.

The 20-year-old man then had his wallet taken from him, before also being punched in the face.

The two teenage girls fled the scene during the incident.

The group of men were last seen walking towards Hatutu Street.

One of the men is described as Caucasian and was wearing a white hooded jumper.

The others are described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, wearing dark grey and black hooded jumpers.

Investigations continue.
