Two people have been charged after a robbery on the Gold Coast earlier this week.
Around 10:30pm on Thursday, two men allegedly assaulted another man on Anaheim Drive in Helensvale, stealing his debit card.
Police alledge a woman who was with the two men also stole the man’s car and fled the scene.
The two men then fled the scene in another vehicle.
The victim, a 33-year-old man from Upper Caboolture, was taken to hospital with suspected internal injuries.
Following investigations, police took two people into custody at a Helensvale address this morning.
A 19-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man both from Helensvale, who have since been charged with a number of offences in relation to the incident.
Both are due to appear in court tomorrow, June 27.
Investigations continue.
