TWO CHARGED OVER 2011 DEATH OF MACLEAN WOMAN

Two men have been charged over the brutal death of a woman on a northern New South Wales beach in 2011.

The body of 33-year-old Maclean woman Lynette Daley was found on Ten Mile Beach near Woodburn in January of that year, after a violent sexual encounter with two men while drunk on a camping and fishing trip.

The NSW DPP says Adrian Attwater and Paul Maris will face various charges.

Attwater, who claimed to be Ms Daley’s boyfriend, has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated sexual intercourse without consent, while Maris faces charges of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent and accessory after the fact to manslaughter.

The pair will front court in August.
