The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has performed a daring mission at sea, to rescue a passenger on board a cruise liner.
A paramedic and doctor were winched onboard the Sun Princess, which was eight nautical miles off the coast of Ballina, at around one-o’clock yesterday afternoon, after a 69-year-old man suffered a medical condition.
The man was flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
