HAPPY CABBY GOES INTO LIQUIDATION

Travellers have been left in the lurch with Newcastle-based transport company Happy Cabby going into liquidation.

The airport transfer service ceased operating yesterday and an insolvency firm has been appointed.

The business which operated between Newcastle and Sydney airports was previously fined in 20-13 for underpaying drivers.

Liquidator Jirsh Sutherland has been attempting to contact passengers who’d booked with the business.
