A 39-year-old man is due to front court, after police allegedly seized over 30 cannabis plants during a search at a home at Lake Macquarie yesterday.
Police searched the house on Kalaf Avenue, Morisset, at about 9.20am, where they allegedly located a highly sophisticated hydroponics set-up, consisting of three large hydroponic tents.
It’s claimed each of the tents contained numerous cannabis plants, lights, fans, transformers and ventilation ducting.
Police seized 31 mature cannabis plants, 42 cannabis clones, 27 hydroponic lights and transformers, numerous carbon filters and fans, as well as cannabis leaf.
A man was arrested on scene and charged with possessing a prohibited drug and cultivating a prohibited plant.
He’ll face Toronto Local Court next month.
